PhD Fellowships in Chemical Biology in Germany

The Konstanz Research School Chemical Biology invites applications for Fellowships for PhD Students from highly motivated and enthusiastic young researchers with a keen interest in interdisciplinary topics and with an excellent degree (Master or Diploma) in Biology, Chemistry, Computational Life Science, or related areas.

The programme is supported by the German Excellence Initiative. The Konstanz Research School Chemical Biology provides a research-driven doctoral education in the priority topics Synthetic Chemistry, Cellular Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biomedicine and Computational Life Science.

The University of Konstanz is a university in the city of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It was founded in 1966, and the main campus on the Gießberg was opened in 1972.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for PhD programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of Chemical Biology.

Scholarship can be taken in Germany

Eligibility: To qualify for admission, students should hold a master’s degree (or equivalent) in biology, chemistry, life sciences, or related subjects. They should have finished their studies significantly above average, and have a proven interest in chemical biology.

Nationality: Applicants from Germany are eligible to apply.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have previous year degree.

English Language Requirement: Proven proficiency in English: at least level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is required

How to Apply: All applications and supporting materials must be submitted via the Online Application Platform provided. A maximum of three PhD projects you are interested in, and ranked by preference

  • A motivation letter (max. 500 words)
  • Contact details for two academic references (please note that we will contact them during the application process ourselves)
  • Curriculum vitae (only accepted in chronological order)
  • Copy of bachelor’s and master’s degree certificates (or equivalent) incl. transcripts of records
  • Proven proficiency in English: at least level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is required (Here you can find detailed information on accepted certificates).
