Westpac Bicentennial Foundation is offering Westpac Research Fellowships, 2017 to early career researchers whose work has the ability to make a difference in one of the focus areas of the Foundation.
Eligibility criteria:
- The fellowships are open to Australian nationals or permanent residents.
- Applicants of Westpac Research Fellowships, 2017 must demonstrate academic excellence and achievements to date.
- Must have a strong sense of connection to Australia.
- The proposed research area must belong to a research field of one of the participating universities with a rating of “well above world standing”.
- Candidates must showcase how their proposed research contributes to the growth and prosperity of Australia in at least one of the Foundation’s focus areas.
- Applicants must commence their research by 30 June 2018.
- Must have been awarded a Ph.D. between 1 September 2011 and 1 September 2014 or have an Eligibility Exemption from the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) or equivalent in case their doctorate was awarded before 1 September 2011.
- Applicants of Westpac Research Fellowships, 2017 must attend the National Assessment Centre held in Sydney on 12/13 December 2017.
Documents required:
- Applicants must submit two letters of reference.
- One academic reference and one personal reference.
- A letter of support must be submitted from the Deputy Vice Chancellor.
