The International School for Foundation Studies at the University of Malta is pleased to offer scholarships for Indian students to pursue undergraduate programme. These scholarships are awarded in the fields of Medical, Dental and Health Sciences, Science, Engineering and ICT and Humanities and Commerce.

The aim of these scholarships is to provide support for students from India to join its various courses for academic studies at the Foundation level.

The University of Malta (Maltese: L-Università ta’ Malta) is the highest educational institution in Malta. It offers undergraduate bachelor’s degrees, postgraduate master’s degrees and postgraduate Doctorates (PhD).

Course Level: These scholarships are available to pursue undergraduate programme.

Study Subject:  These scholarships are awarded in the following fields:

  • Medical, Dental and Health Sciences
  • Science, Engineering and ICT
  • Humanities and Commerce

Scholarship Award: These scholarships will cover the following:

  • The scholarships will cover the full tuition Fees for the Certificate in Foundation Studies Course (1 year) as well as the subsequent degree courses as per the following:
  • For a 3-year course:
    90% waiver for the first year.
    75% for the second year.
    50% for the third year.
  • For a four-year course:
    100% waiver for the first year.
    80% on the second year.
    60% on the third year.
    40% on the fourth year.
  • For a five-year course:
    50% waiver for every year.

Numbers of Scholarships: Six scholarships are available.

Scholarship can be taken in Malta.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Secondary and/or high school certificate issued outside of Malta.
  • One of the following qualifications in English: GCSE (O level) English language, Minimum IELTS overall score of 5.5, with a reading and writing score of at least 5.0; TOEFL Internet-Based Test (iBT) with an overall Score of 61, and a minimum score of 17 in the reading and writing components; Cambridge First Certificate at grade C or better.
  • Qualifications which allow access to an undergraduate course in the selected discipline in the country where such qualifications originate.
  • Any other qualifications approved by the Admissions Board.

Nationality: Indian students are eligible for these scholarships.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have a secondary and/or high school certificate issued outside of Malta.

English Language Requirement: The candidate should have a very good command over the English language.

The Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry are offering QMUL Malta Scholarships and QMUL Malta VGH Scholarships for September 2017 entry. Scholarships are available for pursuing two new medical programmes in Malta, Medicine MBBS Malta and Clinical Certificate in Foundation Studies Malta.

In order to be considered for a scholarship, students will need to have completed an MBBS Malta or Clinical Certificate in Foundation Studies (CCFS) course application.

The Queen Mary University of London is a public research university in London, England, and a constituent college of the federal University of London. It dates back to the foundation of London Hospital Medical College in 1785.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing MBBS Malta or Clinical Certificate Foundations Studies Malta (CCFS) programme.

QMUL VGH Malta, Maltese Medicine Scholarships: Covers all tuition fees over the duration of the courses.

QMUL Malta/QMUL VGH Malta, Medicine Scholarships: Reduces the tuition fee to the Euro equivalent of the home/EU fee for MBBS London student, currently €10,850 (£9,250) per year.

QMUL Malta/QMUL VGH Malta, Medicine Scholarships: Reduces the tuition fee to the Euro equivalent of £19,000 (currently €22,300)

  • Submit a completed MBBS Malta or Clinical Certificate Foundations Studies Malta (CCFS) application by 31st May 2017 and
  • Submit a completed scholarship application by May 31, 2017.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement:

  • MBBS: AAA or equivalent; 2:1 or equivalent for graduates.
  • Clinical Certificate in Foundation Studies: The minimum academic entry requirement from your country.

Test Requirement:

  • MBBS: If taken in 2017 a minimum UKCAT score of 2331
  • Clinical Certificate in Foundation Studies: If taken in 2017 a minimum UKCAT score of 2000.
  • English Language Requirement:
  • MBBS: IELTS 7.0.
  • Clinical Certificate in Foundation Studies: IELTS 6.5.

  • Be shortlisted for interview or rejected dependent on strength of application
  • Attend an interview either in person or via Skype

  • Student informed of offer of admission to MBBS/CCFS and outcome of scholarship application if a decision on this has been made by the panel at this point
  • Student informed of offer of admission to MBBS/CCFS and then the outcome of the scholarship application once this is available, then provided a deadline by which to accept scholarship offer by making deposit payment

The University of Malta in collaboration with the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) are offering two fully-funded masters by research scholarships. Students from Malta are eligible to apply.

The University of Malta is the highest educational institution in Malta. It offers undergraduate bachelor’s degrees, postgraduate master’s degrees and postgraduate doctorates.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing master by research programme.

Study Subject: One multidisciplinary Master by Research is in the field of instrumentation, measurement, data analysis, modelling and control. The other multidisciplinary Master by Research is in the field of microprocessors, digital electronics, motion control and programming in C and/or Python.

Scholarship Award: All expenses (including travel and living expenses) will be covered by the scholarship.

Scholarship can be taken in Malta

Eligibility: Both Masters are specifically designed to be applicable to local industry and are also rather flexible to cater for the interests, background and knowledge of the successful candidates.

Nationality: Students from Malta are eligible to apply.
